Birdie and Robert Herron married in the early 1900's and had 10 children. Roy (1915), Lonnie (1917), Virgil (1919), Robert Jr (1921), Velma (1923), Zelma (1925), MaeOttis (1927), Raymond (1930), James (1932) and Eulish (1936) were born by way of mid-wife in Vian, Oklahoma. Birdie and Robert were originally from Arkansas and moved to Oklahoma in the early 1900's. Birdie and Robert worked as farmers in Vian. They later moved to Kansas City in 1942 after WWII started. Robert worked at Manner Bakery Company until he retired. Birdie was a stay at home mom. In the mid to late 1940's Virgil moved to Flint, Michigan to work in the General Motors automobile plant. Roy, Lonnie and MaeOttis followed.
Today, Herron's live in California, Arkansas, Michigan, Missouri, Maryland, Texas, New York, North Carolina, Arizona and Germany.
